Celebration of Life/Funeral Services
Celeb​ration of life, funeral, burial or committal services are available for anyone wanting to honour a life lived. These celebrations not only honour our loved ones but also allow for support in the grieving process.
Grief looks different for all of us and needs to be treated with reverence and compassion. No stranger to grief, I offer not just a ceremony but heartfelt compassion and wisdom in this time of deep pain and separation.
Along with this, is an option for the additional support of spiritual direction with family and friends prior to, during and after the flowers have withered. Spiritual direction for the first week after the service is offered without cost to immediate family members.
While I am willing to entertain many perspectives and religious customs, I abide by the principles of the Metaphysical faith embracing the presence of the Divine and the concept of life beyond this earthly realm.
Where funeral homes set the price for the officiant the prices below may not apply.
Funeral and Burial
Officiant costs include:
prewritten, customized service
funeral and committal service (approx. 2 hours)
facilitating the service so others may speak and share appropriately
attendance 1 hour prior to the service for family support
attendance and support at the reception
1 family consultation to plan the service
consultation with the funeral director
support in attendance at initial funeral home visit for the family (2 hours)
1 copy of the service
unlimited telephone/email support for one week to immediate family members (during reasonable hours)
Family and friends are responsible for providing the cost of :
the venue/s
additional copies of the service and programs for the attendees
food and beverages for any reception
an additional expense to the officiant including travel beyond 1 hour, parking and meals if travel over 2 hours is required
Committal/ Internment
Officiant costs include:
prewritten, customized service
committal service (approx. 45 minutes)
facilitating the service so others may speak and share appropriately (approx. 30 minutes)
attendance 15 minutes prior to the service for family support
1 family consultation to plan the service
consultation with the funeral director
1 copy of the service
unlimited telephone/email support for one week to immediate family members (during reasonable hours)
Cost $200
Family and friends are responsible for providing the cost of :
the venue/s
additional copies of the service and programs for the attendees
food and beverages for any reception
additional expense to the officiant including travel beyond 1 hour, parking and meals if travel over 4 hours is required
If the internment is taking place at a different time than the service arrangements can be made to include a reduced fee in this cost.

Cost $1200
Family and friends are responsible for providing the cost of :

additional expense to the officiant including travel beyond 1 hour, parking and meals if travel over 2 hours is required
Agreement and Deposit ​Policy
Many funeral homes make the payment arrangements with clients to reduce the stress on the family. This is most acceptable to me.
Any family which is experiencing financial difficulties should feel free to ask for a reduced or waived fee. This is my gift because it was a gift to me when I needed it. Any material used for the service remains the property of River of Hope Ministries and may not be used by the client for any purpose but the service provided.
